Explore each stage of the picturebook process: from generating ideas to making rough sketches and eventually finished illustrations, all the while, focusing on enriching your storytelling both in words and pictures.
You’ll learn about character, pacing, plot and composition, with plenty of time to work on your own picturebook (or get a longer narrative, such as a graphic novel, underway)!
And this year Lizzy’s running new workshops on the art of silent picturebooks, which will be a powerful and exciting way of developing your visual storytelling and stregthening your project (whether it has words or not).
You’ll have a very fun, exploratory time that will open up new creative avenues for you!
